Stick packs have become the consumer-preferred flexible package for bottled water mixes. Because so many Americans take a bottle of water with them wherever they go, the door was wide open for the introduction of instant flavored drinks sold in easy-to-carry, single-serving packages. And thanks to early advocates of the revolution like Nestlé, flavored drinks started appearing on supermarket shelves across America.
